"If you're tired of a slimy, smelly wetsuit on the 2nd day of diving, then this little gem is for you.

Pros:
- The hanger is solid enough to hold a wet 7mm full suit w/o any problems.
- The supplied cord is about 15' long so you'll probably not need an extension cord.
- A full suit hung up at 9pm will be dry by 6am, a shorty even quicker
- Your suit will be dry and smell CLEAN (no wet dog odor)

Cons: (still gave it 5 stars)
- Too bulky to easily carry on a plane
- A bit noisy...you'll want to leave it in the bathroom if you're in a Hotel
- The hanger take a bit of elbow grease to install during assembly" (Posted on 6/24/2015)

From owning many wetsuits before, I wanted to be able to extend the life of the suit and avoid the slight odors you get when drying the suit. I also think the summer time is worse because the inside part of the suit which is not getting ventilation is building up bacteria. This thing works super fast and drys the whole wetsuit in just a few hours as opposed to a whole day or two. I thought it was a little big at first, but now I realize its designed that way so that air gets pushed into the sleeves as well. They should design smaller versions for women and smaller suits, but I am not big (5'9" - 165lbs) and it fits my suits with only a little effort. This thing is great for drying my suits in a lot less time, making it completely dry for my next dawn patrol session in the winter. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

Dry's wetsuit in 10 hours, great for when I surf multipal days in a row. There is nothing worse than putting on a cold, wet, wetsuit in the morning. This hanger is well built and has a long cord that makes it easy to plug in. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

"I wasn't really expecting this to work as well as it does, especially for the money, but I love it! It's like I have a blowdryer coming out of each of the arms and legs, way more air than I expected it to be pumping through. My full 4/3 wetsuit is always dry by the next morning, the cord is very long and it's quite sturdy.

My one trick that I use with this device is I put a big shoelace around the two arms so they barely touch the sides of the wetsuit and as the water drips out of the armholes they land in the bucket perfectly. Otherwise (with or without this particular hanger) it lands all over, and the added force of the air blowing through made this a little more extreme ;) My only complaint I guess it the fan is a little loud and so I now dry the wetsuit in a room further away from the one I sleep in. This also keeps me from being startled by ""someone"" standing in my room when I get up in the middle of the night ;)" (Posted on 6/24/2015)

I agree with the other reviews. The long cord helps to connect the fan and have the wetsuit hanging somewhere a bit far from the plug, like in the shower. And it's true, an auto-kill switch or timer would be a nice addition. The fan is on the noisy side, and it will be a little annoying at night. But if you come from a long day surfing, you'll probably be tired enough to crash and not bother. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

"This is my 2nd HangAir and they work great. I had my first one 4 years and typically use it Oct-May when I am using my wetsuit for surfing. I was totally bummed one day when I went to plug it in and the motor just stopped working then I came to find out you can't replace the motor...you have to buy a whole new HangAir. Oh well, I guess 4 years is pretty good.
I hate getting into a wet wetsuit so this comes in very handy and for the most part will dry your wetsuit overnight. I highly recommend and haven't found a better product in the market." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

Just used mine for the first time. I dried hung up my 4/3 Hyperflex Medium Fullsuit, and it dried overnight at just about 20hours. Welll worth the money if you're gonna be going out everyday. My wetsuits were not drying overnight on their own, and I wasn't gonna put them in the sun. I was very happy that even after just 10hrs of it being hung it was rather dry on the inside. The last 10hours was just for perfection. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

My husband uses this daily for drying his wetsuit after surfing. It works great! It doesn't necessarily dry the entire suit over night, but it keeps the air moving so his suit doesn't stink any more. He even uses the hanger without plugging it in sometimes and lets it hang out in the breeze in the shade. The hanger itself is such a great design that it holds the suit open allowing air to flow through. We've gotten them as gifts for surfer and diver friends and it's always a big hit. "I spent probably a week trying to decide whether or not I wanted to spend 50-odd dollars to gain a little bit of comfort in the morning when I'm pulling on a wetsuit. I finally decided to splurge on the HangAir Dryer system. It came about a week later, and after having the wonderful experience of pulling on a completely dry wetsuit the next morning (something I hadn't done since I cut the tags off my XCEL) I realized it was totally worth $50, maybe even more. If you surf a wetsuit consecutive days, you should strongly consider buying this product. It has made dawn patrol a much nicer experience for me. I usually surf in the morning, so I'll run it during the day and unplug it at night; the next morning the suit is pretty much dry. Used with an XCEL double XL 4/3 offset zip.

One caveat: it is *noisy* when on. I'm able to hang it in my garage so this is not an issue for me, but if you're thinking about using inside your house you may be annoyed.

UPDATE 3-20-2013: I've had this item about 6 months now, and I'm still extremely satisfied with it. It's used at least twice every weekend (Sat, Sun when I'm back from surfing) and was used more frequently when there was enough light to get out in the morning. For weekend use alone the purchase is worth it. I tend to come back from a session, rinse my wetsuit with a garden hose, then stick it on the dryer. By the next morning it's completely dry. In many cases, this lets me save a few minutes by partially suiting up at home and wearing the wetsuit during the drive out. I would definitely buy another one if this one ever dies.

To be fair, the HangAir is not powerful enough to dry same day, so for example, if I do a morning session, get back at 11am, and go again at 3p, my wetsuit will still be pretty wet, but this just makes me appreciate the days I have a dry wetsuit even more." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

I hardly ever rate anything on amazon, but this product really has made me want to let others know how well this does at drying your wetsuit. Had it over a year, and never any problems. Even while getting the cord and hanger soaked from my wetsuit in the shower, there has never been any electrical issues at all. Always a dry wetsuit after using it at night for dawn patrol the next morning. Plus since I don't let it dry outside, my Psycho II has lasted much longer than past wetsuits from sun damage and weathering. This product really does pay for itself. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

It doesn't look like much at first glance, but this thing really has enough power to fill the empty space inside the suit with air, and get it dried really quickly. The wide shoulder parts of the plastic help to keep the air flowing, and it has enough force that if you squeeze the chest in, it'll pop back out from the air flow. Great product, would highly recommend. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

My last one failed after 5+ years of continuous use. The transformer stopped working. I bought a new one yesterday, preferred the easy to remove power cord and two-speed fan the older model had, but still great for what it's designed for. The only real criticism I have are the overly sharp edges on the ends of the hanger. Could easily do some damage to a wetsuit. I used a Dremel on the edges of the new one, just as I did with the old one to get a softer edge. Easy fix. This thing, together with my boot dryer make wetsuit care a breeze (pun intended). I have a dry suit that I use for SCUBA diving and for paddle boarding in the winter and you know how they get really damp on the inside from your perspiration. I thought I was being a little extravagant buying this but I tried it and it actually dried out the inside of my suit in just a matter of 3o minutes. Now you might say just let it hang and dry out, but if you live in a humid climate, like I do here in the Atlanta area, you know things just don't dry out so well on their own. I use this all the time for both my dry suit and my wet suit. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

"I bought this in hopes of being able to go out for a sunset session and have a dry suit the next morning for dawn patrol.

I like to be comfortable when going in the water, so I feel relaxed, and this means I need a dry suit to step into.

The water was 54 last week up in Malibu. After surfing Heavens and making it back to the camp site, I hung up my 4/3 on this hanger and immediately plugged it into this battery and power inverter. http://www.amazon.com/Allstart-555-Battery-Starter-Inverter/dp/B008FKJH9C/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1397494123&sr=8-13&keywords=battery+jumper

The instructions say it takes anywhere from 12-24 hours to completely dry. I hung it up at 8 PM and tried it on at 7 AM the next morning. The next morning my suit was completely dry.

I then gave it another test at my place, where i was able to hang it up inside and away from ocean air. It actually dried in 6 hours. I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it to friends and family." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

Surfers are cheap, so I'm guessing most will not purchase this. However, for the few that are willing to spend a few bucks to quickly dry their wetties without having to hang them in the sun and have them dry out and crack quicker, this product is awesome. Certainly will extend the life of your wetsuit. In addition, you can dry the suit inside in your shower, so no need to leave it hanging on the back of a chair or railing with the sun blazing down on it and black widows (at least in socal) make it their home. I used the HangAir to dry the condensation out of the inside of a DUI drysuit with Turbosoles. Granted the inside of the suit was only slightly damp, but after leaving it hanging overnight it was bone dry inside, even down to the feet, which usually takes a while to accomplish. The fan is far from silent, but if you put it behind a closed door it's quiet enough that it isn't disruptive. I have to be careful as to how I arrange the neck seal on the suit to keep from blocking the fan, but it's not a big deal. Overall, I'd say this is a great product, and essential if you want to keep the inside of your suit dry and mildew free without turning it inside out after a day of diving. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

Great device and it seems to work exceptionally well. I question those who in previous reviews have mentioned a noise factor. This thing is almost whisper quiet. It is a fan for goodness sake. It cannot, by design, be silent. If I have any suggestions to the manufacturer it would be these. Modify the width of the shoulders (making it slightly smaller) and increase the power of the fan. With those slight adjustments it would work just as well and be travel friendly. The current size makes it just a bit too large to pack with bulky dive gear for an excursion. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

"I scuba dive in MA, so I use a 7mm wet suit when I dive. Usually, to get it 100% completely dry I would leave it draped over something for 2-3 days minimum! NOT ANYMORE!!!

After diving this past weekend, I washed my suit, and hung it on the hanger, plugged it in, and let it hang over the tub (for dripping purposes) at about 5pm. Before I went to sleep I check on it, and it was already mostly dry, just a little left in the cuffs! By 6:30am, it was bone dry, and ready or storage!!! I've never had a wetsuit dry that fast!

This thing has sincerely changed how I go about drying my wetsuits, and worth every penny just on the saved time and space it takes to dry." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

"Awesome dryer; this works exactly as expected. The only gripe I can even make for this unit is the power connector on the unit itself can get be a little touchy sometimes.
The fan works very well over long periods of time, and it is not super noisy like some of the others I've tried. The hanger is well built, and it can take quite a bit of weight. The hook can be removed and packed away for easier storage." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

Great product. Drys my wetsuit over night. So much nicer putting on a dry wet suit the next day - especially when it it cold outside! The fan is pretty noisey. I put it in the garage, so as not to keep us up at night listening to it run. (Posted on 6/24/2015)
Probably great for wetsuits and drysuits with wrist seals. Review by B. McGrew "From Amazon"

"I'm sure that this product will work exceptionally well with wetsuits as advertised. The fan really does a nice job with air exchange and I would have been glad to have this product in my old wetsuit diving days.
Now I'm diving twice a week in 39 - 45 degree F water so I'm using this product as a drysuit hangar.
A friend told me that his Hangair works well on his DUI tri-laminate scuba drysuit too, removing all of the residual condensation all the way from his neck seal down the arms, and also down to the attached crushed neoprene dry boots. The Hangair also dries all of those areas in my nearly identical DUI drysuit. However, I have the new DUI zip seal gloves installed on my drysuit, and air flow down the arms is not enough in my case to dry the insides of the gloves, even if run all night. I still had to turn the gloves inside-out. I'm sure though that if you have a wetsuit, or tri-laminate drysuit with the regular wrist seals, your entire suit will be dry overnight." "How well this works depends greatly on the air temperature.
I tried it for the first time during a cold night. The suit was still damp the next morning, however once I moved it into the heated bathroom it quickly dried out.
It will save me from having to hang suits out in the sun to dry." (Posted on 6/24/2015)
Hang Air and heater Review by Kurt L "From Amazon"

I use the heck out of mine but to speed up the drying process I have a small space heater (Cube) that I set on the bathroom floor. I plug them up, close the bathroom door, and in about an hour or so I have a dry wetsuit. If they could figure out a way to build in a low temp heating element in the unit it would be perfect. My fan burnt out on the first "Hang Air" from Wetsand after a couple of years, I replaced it with a computer fan but it doesn't move have near the volume. I bought a replacement "Hangair" less expensive from Underwater Kinetics but it is a single speed, and has about the same volume of the low setting on the one from wetsand. All in all, it's still a good product and is holding up well. (Posted on 6/24/2015)

Great dryer for wetsuit or drysuit Review by James R "From Amazon"

"I really want to like this product more than I do. Don't get me wrong - it's a good, solid product that does what it says - the issues I have are that the dryer is not terribly travel friendly and it needs some sort of modification to work well with drysuits with latex seals. Some sort of chimney that would help keep a drysuit neckseal open for airflow would work well.

I have used this for a couple of years now and find it excellent for keeping my suits 'fresh'." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

"You can quite easily modify one of these hangers by installing a PC case fan..... just make sure the fans power consumption falls within the power packs output. If your really keen you could purchase a powerful 5000rpm fan from the likes of Delta (PFB1212UHE-F00 - 250cfm 6000rpm) but you may have to buy a power pack with more output to feed it, twice more airflow = twice as fast drying? though it'll be as loud as vacuum cleaner 65db

Anyway here is a link where someone shows how to change the fan..." (Posted on 6/24/2015)
Hangair wetsuit dryer Review by G3 fan "From Amazon"

"I received one of these for Christmas. It was broken out of the box. I returned it, and 2 months later received the replacement. Apparently there were LOTS of bad units made around the time I got mine. The new one came yesterday, and I used it between 6 pm and 7 am. Morning temp was 43 degrees. I did not expect my wetsuit to be dry, but it was. Very nice. Would have given 5 stars if not for the huge delay in getting a working unit.

someone commented on how huge the hanger is. It is big, but for a reason. It pushes out the shoulders far enough to get air flow in the arms as well as the legs. If you are super small and have a really small entry spot into your wetsuit, maybe it would not fit. But I honestly can't imagine how that would be." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

I like it, I use it to dry out my wetsuit for surfing and it works like it says it does. I was afraid it was going to stretch or rip the seams of my suit because it's pretty big, but I haven't noticed any issues. Dries in half the time for sure. (Posted on 6/24/2015)
Works as Promised. Gets Rid of Stank. Fits Top Entry Suits Easily. Review by Clay B "From Amazon"

"Though the claims of completely dry in hours is a bit of an exaggeration, it definitely kicks butt over hang drying in the shade without this device. I conducted tests on my Xcel Drylock 4/3 and my Oneill RG8 5/4. Both are medium, and both are top entry suits. There were hung on the HangAir soaking wet after my 4am session in 36 degree air and 53 degree water. Half the days it was also raining. Both suits were hung completely in the shade in my carport driveway and the high temperature on those days never topped 54 degrees.

Conclusions:

1. Easy to insert the HangAir into a medium size top entry suit.

2. After 3 hours the suits were rid of total water saturation. They were still completely damp, but if you were to put them on at this point you wouldn't be too unhappy, though not exactly pleased either.

3. After 6-7 hours, on a rainy day in the shade, the suits were dry enough to comfortably transfer to the bathroom without causing my partner to freak out. This means zero chance of dripping at this stage. Though the suit was still damp, if you tossed it on the couch and then quickly picked it up, you probably couldn't detect any residual dampness on the cushions. If you put it on for a second session, you'd be pretty happy. Considering these were hung dry, in the shade, on very cold and wet days, I consider that ""dry"" for all intents and purposes. If the air is dry (no rain, low humidity), the suit get's pretty dry in 6-7 hours with only residual dampness in the wrists and ankles.

4. Wetsuit stank completely gone. Like almost everyone else on the plantet, I pee in my suits - especially in the winter where the cold just makes you pee near non stop. I hadn't given my suits a good shampooing in well over three weeks (just a light rinse with a couple of gallon jugs of warm fresh water after I get out) and I surf at least once per day every single day. I was so shocked at how good my suit smelled I told my partner to smell the crotch. She couldn't detect anything and said it just smelled like a wetsuit. This is probably the most amazing feature of the HangAir. Drying a suit is easy. Getting pee smell out is tough.

I didn't give it 5 stars because it really doesn't completely dry your suit as fast as they claim, but it gets it dry enough by surfer standards." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

"The UK Wetsuit Dryer works really well. My wetsuits are nearly completely dry overnight using this.
The fan is quite loud and it is big and bulky. The cord is pretty long and detaches from the hanger.
I would give it an 9/10. Recommended highly." (Posted on 6/24/2015)

ordered these for my adult sons for Christmas to keep there spring suits and thermal dry as often we waterski and wakeboard in the late evenings and early mornings next day with wet gear. after receiving them ,I thought they would be way to big for their thermals. called BC Surf directly and they couldn't be nicer about returning them if they didn't work out. well I tried them and they do seem to work and boys liked them at Christmas. theyr'e very heavy duty. as a retired chicago fireman I could see how they would hold up for drying a wet firecoat. a fan hanger Review by Robert S "From Amazon"

Like others mentioned it is a bit bulky, but otherwise it works well. In a nutshell its a hanger with a fan on it. seal up your wet or dry suit around it and it circulates air around it to speed up the drying process. So it did reduce the drying time. While on a trip it is not practical because of space and I can let it dry sometimes outside, but when I'm at home... works well to get it out of the bathtub hours quicker and back into the closet.
