The Northern Channel Islands of Anacapa, Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz offer dramatic views of towering cliffs climbing to jagged peaks where sheep and goats are the only denizens. But below the surf are some of Southern California's best kelp forests. The kelp shelters many small crustaceans, shellfish, and scallops. If you are dabbling in photography or are interested in a little hunting but aren't ready to dive for the big ones yet, this boat is for you. Or you might still be content diving with nothing to distract you from the awesome beauty around you. November is an excellent time to dive the Channel Islands, as the visibility is fine, and the weather is much more mild than in Northern California. For years now Dolphin has taken divers on a three-day recreational trip to the Northern Channel Islands, and everyone always comes back with full bellies, wet scuba gear and contented expressions on their faces. The knowledgeable Truth Aquatics crew will provide you with many scuba diving opportunities to discover a wide variety of underwater landscapes. There are untold opportunities for viewing and photographing a panorama of underwater vistas. Unlike the coral reefs of tropical waters, the giant kelp forests of the Channel Islands add a third dimension. Your mini vacation will be hassle free, filled with great food, good diving and wonderful friends.
