Description   Cave divers use the compact Jump/Gap Reel to make a temporary connection between the ends of permanent guidelines, or to "jump" to offshoot lines. It comes with a medium stainless steel bolt snap and 50 feet of #24 line. Some divers prefer this reel over a spool because the skill set for usage is consistent with other reels. Dive Rite stainless steel "SideWinder" guideline dive reels come in variety of sizes. They feature an anti-fouling design that uses precision machined tolerances to ensure that line cannot slip between the spool and the handle. The side-mounted closed-end handle allows ambidextrous single-handed operation so that the reel may be held in the same hand with a Goodman light handle. Thumb screw is positioned to ride on the smooth outer rim of the spool allowing precise drag or complete lock down of the reel. The stainless steel axle is permanently attached to the aluminum frame, and the spool locks in place with a simple "E" clip. This results in a lower profile, eliminates the possibility of spool lockup, helps ensure that the axle never goes out of alignment, and simplifies maintenance. By simply removing and replacing the "E" clip, it takes just a moment to swap spools of line.
